One Platform for a Multitude of Configurations.
The MCL cabinet’s ground breaking modular design was created with the input of installation technicians from some of the top phone companies and IOCs in the industry. They asked for an outside cabinet that was user friendly by being easy to install, easy to expand in the field, easy to de-install, and easy to re-install future equipment. You asked for it so we built it. We built it without compromising quality or economics.

The MCL’s modular design allows you to purchase only the amount of cabinet you need at the time you need it. It’s the pay as you grow concept. Lets face it. It’s not if you’re going to exchange equipment, it’s when. Industry first features like swinging and sliding arms and rails, battery drawers that slide out to completely expose the batteries, and the ability to even connect multiple cabinets in tandem make future growth and in-field-expansion a breeze. Options like multiple cooling configurations, multiple base sizes, and 12” side modules ensure that one cabinet can be utilized for a multitude of applications. To top it all off, we’ve added LED internal lighting, a built in tray to hold a note pad, schematics, or a laptop computer. We’ve even included an umbrella to help keep the glare off the screen and the sun off your back.

Here’s how it works:
MCL modules consist of 2 different base units (175 amp/h battery or 8”fiber) and one or more body modules (40RU’s each). Each body is comprised of 2 exchangeable side panels, a front door, and a back door with optional Free-Air-Cooling™. The body is stacked on a base. The body’s 2 exchangable side access modules can contain fiber or copper cross connect (12” deep), and/or side access cooling modules (AC or heat exchanger). Multiple sized top hat modules are available to fit multiple units when connected in tandem.
